Countess's Basement?

I'm stuck in the basement- no dialogue choices help, no special powers help- I'm killed by Vicktoria every single time.

You have to turn invisible before you enter the basement, and then use invisibility strategically.

Is your blood meter at least half-full? Because if it isn't you wouldn't be able to run away from her. If it is, don't forget to press Shift when running. And close the door behind you, so that Victoria is trapped in the basement.

Also: Autosave usually works for quick-time events like these, so that you don't need to restart the whole thing

Keep in mind that you can both be a bat and invisible. So you can move quite fast whatever you blood meter is.

True. However, if your blood meter is high enough, you can use the Shift key to fly even faster.

So this is incredibly helpful, but I've tried everything and can't seem to trigger the door? I can have her fly/run away fast and invisible, but I can't get a door icon? I'm so confused lol.

if i remember how it went, you have to be invisible and follow her, then you see her open the safe. then a conversation happens. afterwards she starts shooting and you have to escape to the door. does all these things happen according to the order for you?

i am not sure whats causing it. but maybe things aren't happening according to the way it should, maybe that's what stopping you from going back through the door.

Have you opened the safe? You have to come back to your initial cell to open the cupboard and then solve the puzzle. Are you talking about the conversation after you opened the safe and examined all the documents?

I noticed that to go around Victoria Liza needs to move down the screen and then up again for door icon to activate. Anyways, hope this helps.
