I enchanted Anastasia to finish her song and cooperate with Evgeny, and I enchanted Evgeny to finish his book. I never kissed or flirted with them. So, they remained a couple, worked together, opened the theatre, had many kids, and lived a happy family life.
I found the ending a bit disappointing too. Revealing yourself as a vampire should ideally not IMHO, have been something that was reserved for an off-screen timeskip and only revealed in the epilogue. Would have been nice to have something more for the love interests in the endgame of Cabernet IMO. Particularly since if you choose one of the 'other' endings....you don't even get an epilogue. There's something of a lack of closure I think.
Hopefully the bug (and I assume it is one) gets squashed soon. The devs have been hard at work fixing those since release, from what I understand.
Also, there is no "hope for an OK ending" involved, it's simply that Action A triggers Event B, which automatically leads to consequence C, that's how "Cabernet" works and it's pretty simple to figure that out, after a couple of completed playthroughs.
I have read other threads on a similar subject. There seem to be 3 possible endings:
a) Bad - Anastasia and Evgeny split, or one of them dies. Both end up miserable.
b) OK/Good - They stay together and live happily, but without fame or particular wealth.
c) Best - They stay together and live happily, while also becoming famous (and, presumably, rich as a consequence of their fame)
I just answered as someone who completed a 100% on "Cabernet"'s achievements and as someone who has seen all choices and possible outcomes and endings over a 7 complete runs of the game, so i know it's mechanics and what happens with closed eyes - if you believe what i say or not, is entirely up to you.
