Clone Drone in the Hyperdome

Clone Drone in the Hyperdome

First thoughts as a clone drone veteran.
I love the dialogue and story its a big step up from the original clone drone, everyone has a ton of character and the variety in powers and weapons is great, HOWEVER the variety is lacking in other places.
the enemies and rooms have very little variety its always the same 20 or so rooms and 7 something enemies. it feels very dull going through multiple runs in a row. this is also a problem in the original clone drone but it compounds even more here due to no community made rooms or saw-blades or any real danger.
it's also missing some of the iconic enemies from clone drone in the danger zone (or maybe i'm not far enough to see them?), i haven't seen any spiderbots or flame lizards.
I understand this is to be expected especially from a game that just launched but there's a very clear power imbalance in the arm abilities, why would i ever choose anything other than arm extender and hypershield.
Combat is pretty fun but there's also a somewhat clear power imbalance there since theres no reason to use anything other than a melee thats longer than arms length and a bow, other than fun of course.

Interesting, this is a super good read. We definitely plan on adding a lot more variety--we had to cut a lot of things for the initial launch because they weren't quite good enough yet, but we have more enemies and weapons and more to come! I do miss my king spiderbot, although I'm not sure if he'll ever make it into VR (the grenades knocking you over could be nauseating in VR). Real cool seeing what the current meta is shaping up to be :D

I'd like to give one more piece of feedback regarding the bow, i think it should have a visual trail to show where the arrow is gonna land like the teleporter, if most people are like me then its incredibly hard to just eyeball where its gonna land and a wasted shot feels exhaustive on my arm.

Big agree with everything tbh. I do really like some of the arm powers though I almost wish I had more? Like being able to shoot flames then swap to something else. Or mix and match with more control for fun. I also wish you could carry a secondary weapon or have some upgrades/challenges.

Real solid game, the VA's and the story are pretty good. Even if I think some lore is lost on me XD Other than what the identity of the Captain.

You should be able to throw weapons tbh.

As someone who plays like exclusively with Kata's ninja star and the flame thrower arm, we definitely need some enemies that require more dodging and less teleporting. Having the hammer only show up in the final fight was kind of a let down, I was hoping I'd get to slice through a hammerbot or two before the end game xD Or just some bots with armor that take more than one hit to kill, like MX2 but with weak points or something. The shield bots just feel like a cheap alternative to the armor system from the previous game.

Also, parrying sucks, hate to say it. Blocking is still pretty wonky at the best of times and sometimes you can swing full force at an enemy blade that's try to stab and even though that swing of yours should have knocked their arm back they just don't move and end up stabbing you, or locking up your blade against there's. Love the game but blocking and parrying definitely needs more polish (which I'm sure you guys will do as the game updates down the road, your team is very good at that)

And I've said it before and I'll say it again, the two handed weapons NEED to accept whichever hand grabs it into the top grab slot, us lefties are crying over here stuck with the basic laser sword! XD
