I understand your hesitancy. I think this message from the creator, Justin Gary, explains our feelings on some of your concerns.
"The original SolForge was one of the first digital trading card games and was very difficult and expensive to make and maintain at that time. It is an unfortunate reality of digital online games that no one can guarantee they last forever. We hope you had many hours of enjoyable gameplay from the original SolForge- it is a game we poured years of hard work and passion into. It has been our mission to bring back the best aspects of the original game in a modern form. We've learned a lot in the 12 years since we launched the original SolForge and are much more efficient and effective with building the game so that it will be more sustainable this time around."
A lot of changes are being made to SolForge Fusion to help protect its longevity. One of these changes is that the app will be available to be played offline, allowing you to be able to play games and use your collection regardless of what happens to the servers. We also have our own internal team of programmers, allowing us to have complete control of the development of this app which was a bit of an issue with the original.
We work with the knowledge and lessons learned from the original SolForge and we hope to use that knowledge to make the best game we can.
We sincerely hope you give our game a chance!
