Boss Doors
These completely screw up pathfinding if they're deeper in the dungeon, when using them my ungrouped heroes will just randomly stop and get stuck even if they're nowhere near the door.

I'm having issues where my solo heroes are just walking through the boss doors anyway.

I had solo heroes walk right through the boss doors as well.

Make sure you have the doors facing the right way, and that there isn't access from a non-boss route to the same area. I had this issue once, and realized a path from one of my respawn rooms hooked into the Boss areas, and I also had one of the doors backwards.

I had multiple solo heroes go through a boss door when the boss room was a dead end. Then that whole dungeon bugged out in many other ways later: heroes getting stuck, heroes walking outside the dungeon wall, beauty quest not calculating, rooms and objects can't be placed due to invisible obstructions, etc.

It's possible that the game is only treating the marked boss room as off limits to heroes, and that the pathing through doors itself isn't considered. Like this, if the hero tries to use a facility in an unmarked room, beyond the boss door, that it won't see anything wrong with this path and just let it happen. If this is the problem then the only solution (apart from the dev fixing their game) would be to use boss doors every step of the way after the first one.

I don't have any clue what might be causing parties to just stand in a room forever, without moving on, or why my parties aren't choosing to path to a resting spot when they're tired. Most parties reach the end of my dungeon having lost at least 1 or 2 members, making the boss quite difficult to defeat.

My boss room was the last one in the dungeon with just one hallway connecting and single heroes still went in.

Well Damn, I've got nothing then.
Most of the people who go through my boss doors are parties, like 90% of them are partied.

My dungeon has 3 paths out of the starting room:
Left is a cave designed for parties, culminating in a lich fight - it starts with a boss door.
Up is a garden designed for solos
Right is a prison designed for solos, with a table at the end and then a few more high-value rooms for parties and a miniboss fight (2x grey Lv5s). Everything after the table is locked behind a boss door so if heroes fail to party, they can either clean up in the prison or try the garden, then leave.

It's possible that I'm just not catching it, but I've never seen solos go through the boss door near the end of the prison, but I've seen quite a few go into the cave.
One explanation could be that these solos are actually ex-party members, as I've noticed that heroes have no party ring when they respawn (this could be a visual glitch. It could also be the source of behaviour glitches.)
However on at least one occaision I've noticed that the very first hero in my dungeon went into the cave, long before they'd had any opportunity to join a party, and indeed I actually saw them in a party later that day.

Unless there's something about the cave that's particularly unattractive that I can't possibly understand, it just seems odd that solos seem to be able to go through the boss doors at will, that joining a previous party has nothing to do with this behaviour because they can do it first thing, but also that it's quite rare - as I said earlier, maybe only 10% of my heroes do this, rather than the 33% or so that you might expect if the game is just not checking the door at all.
