This Game Should Be in Alpha
This game feels like it wasn't finished and just rush released.
In my opinion, this game should still be in alpha to at least be transparent about its unfinished state.
-Game is functionally finished within 4 hours of playtime.
-You can achieve every single quest without doing anything special at all, just regular game play and they will all get completed within the first hour. After 1000 points the system is just irrelevant with no more rewards for the many quests that keep popping up.
-Actual build area is very small. It looks a lot bigger than it is. You can only fit 3 of the large rooms side by side and it's full.
-Hallways are impossible due to lack of space and also because the guests don't seem to like being in rooms without monsters.
-The star system is pointless. I hit 5 full stars in less than 2 hours, without even trying. All I did was build basic rooms and was able to hit the max for both of the star reputation meters.
-Customers do not seem to seek out rest or health potions when needed, only when nearby.
-You can kill almost every guest, then receive a message at the end of the day that your monsters are too weak.
-Legendary heroes just end up following behind other customers and having low satisfaction ratings or getting killed off easily by being alone. The top 2 heroes are nearly impossible to complete because of this.
-Groups of customers will get stuck in rooms and basically camp that room with repetitive kills. This means that newer customers entering the room don't get as much loot and thus have a worse satisfaction rating.
-The research is the only mechanic that seems built for long term play as it would take at least 12 hours of gameplay to unlock everything... unfortunately the research beyond the first level seems to have absolutely no impact on gameplay or achieving any of your goals. You'll also be done every single quest long before you finish the first level of research.
-Killing customers hurts your rating and means you'll make less money, however, it's the only way to get souls for upgrades to your monsters, which then makes them better at killing, thus less money--- so it's a negative cycle. It almost seems like a bad idea to upgrade them.
-Speaking of upgrading, when you upgrade the potions it only seems to change their pricepoint but not their satisfaction impact or their hp effect, which then gets you complaints about high prices and a drop in satisfaction.

I honestly wonder at how much this was playtested before release, as all of these things combine to make replay-ability of this game basically zero.

This game has potential, but will require a massive update in its current state.

Yeah man indie devs suck. They don’t deserve any leeway what so ever.

What an ignorant thing to say. Did you have nothing constructive to add, so just decided to make a flippant meaningless comment instead?
Of course there is leeway, but there is an expectation of a completed project when they ask for our money.
This game should be in alpha right now so that those indie devs can make improvements and changes while keeping their credibility. Releasing an unfinished product has nothing to do with being indie or not (EA loves to do it too), it has to do with disrespecting the customer base (gamers) and making a grab for cash with an unfinished project.
If it was in alpha and for sale, I would have bought it with the understanding that it isn't finished and that there are expected improvements coming. That isn't what happened here. They released a game that wasn't done. They skipped the alpha stage and proclaimed their game as finished. There is no big expectation of fundamental changes after a "completed" game is released.
This is dishonest.

(On a side note, i really can't understand why this was done. This project has so much potential, but just needs a bit more work. Maybe it was someone above the dev's control pushing for a release, maybe some devs have abandoned the project so they had to release whatever they had, maybe they're in a financial squeeze atm and needed a cash injection to stay afloat.... no idea why. But whatever the reason, it screws over the customer base.)

Game is not abandoned, we have a long roadmap ahead (you can check it out in the steam page). Thank you for your feedback!

I like how they just flat out ignored every bit of your post. Tells me a lot about them as a developer.

I was thinking the same thing. Went to read their roadmap, and it doesn't even address any of the core problems. Wish I could get a refund.

You can get a refund as long as you haven’t bought the game more than two weeks ago (I believe) and haven’t played for a certain amount of time.

It's 2 hours of playtime. I passed that mark and hit 4ish
