I made a room with 4 monster spawner to generate a lot of gold, and then difference size chest and pot along the walls.
whenever a hero open any of the chest and pots they take out all the gold they can hold and if possible leave nothing behind for the rest of the party, even if they are in a party to begin with.
Saw a hero walk up to a chest with 45 gold said hero to out 5 gold and his back was full after, next hero come up to the chest and takes out the rest of the 40 gold in one go.
From what i see there is no limit to how much gold they take out of a chest unless they cant hold anymore gold to begin with.
Tested this on hard difficulty, not sure if the difficulty makes a difference i don't think it will.
There is no end game as far as i know so take your time to test things out.
After a fight adventurers will rush over to a container. The closest one or the same, I've not really paid attention to that. It's a first come first served basis and each adventurer will take enough gold to fill their pockets.
That usually means the first few rooms have a bunch of people getting nothing, but as they get deeper into the dungeon people will have bought the potions and stuff they want and filled their pockets with gold. From that point on it will start to pile up so everyone can loot until full.
There may be some way to make it so everyone can get loot starting with the first room, but I'm not savvy enough to have figured it out, nor, I admit, do I have the motivation to do so.
