In case you missed it, Richard and Ben will be taking on the demo of NanoApostle once more on 14 June 2024 1:00 PM BST!

Play the updated NanoApostle demo now and take on the axe-wielding Berserker and the overwhelming barrage from the Commander. Utilisise the upgrades at your disposal to gain an edge in battle.

Add an option to skip the story

I just want to test the gameplay, not mash E for 15 minutes to get through the story and watch 27 cutscenes along the way. I'll care about the story once the game is released.

Demo Update (Patch notes)

Bugfixes:
Fixed the bug where the commander stops acting after entering the second phase.
Fixed the bug where the commander's wreckage appears above Anita.
Fixed the bug where hacked drone are not destroyed after the commander is defeated.

Balancing:
Adjusted the frequency and damage of Anita's light attacks.
Adjusted and weakened some visual effects.
Adjusted the commander's combat experience.

Player data gathering (Opt-in):
Added a feature to collect gameplay information. (This allows developers to adjust the experience, and players can choose whether to send information at the start interface.)

Quality gameplay but some issues

There's a really solid foundation here and the aesthetics are good, but I have some issues, most relating to the second boss. 1. Why is the boss able to randomly respawn all of her orbs when you haven't even broken her shield yet? The idea here might be to lower all of their HP first before breaking them and then try to break them all at once, but that doesn't work with how her yellow attacks that you counter let you break orbs immediately. I really think this should just be gone from the first phase entir...

Honestly pretty cool

I just finished the demo and had a fun time. At times it felt a bit basic with mashing the attack button but, the bosses themselves were well made and I had fun. I hope you guys can keep up the quality into the rest of the game, and that the writing ends up being memorable! Yeah, looking forward to it....
