reduces the wait time before you can interact with the cards on the title screen
moves the loading indicator to the left side so that the Steam Community pop up doesn't cover it
fixes a bug where I The Magician would cause a crash if played twice in the same encounter
XVII The Star now deals Quick Damage - this fixes a bug where the game would softlock if Get Well Soon Card's healing was triggered at the end of the round while XVII The Star was in play
fixes a number of cards that had slightly wrong colours for some parts of their borders
changes references to "draw" (as in equal scores) to "tie"
improves touch screen input for Steam Deck users
lots of improvements to the Simplified and Traditional Chineses localisations

Hello Tavern Dwellers,

It's been great seeing so many of you try out the new and improved demo, and the response to the new art direction has been great – we're happy you love it as much as we do! We've also hit the milestone of 50k wishlists now, so thank you very much for helping us reach that as it helps us out a lot!

We will be participating in Steam Next Fest from June 10th~, where Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers will be one of many great demos that you can check out during the festival! We'll also be running a Steam broadcast during the festival starting at 1PM PT / 9PM BST. Tune in by going to the store page to watch some of the Yogscast Network play the game!

fixes a bug where clickable relics wouldn't play their activate animation when clicked
fixes Ace in the Hole having no suit at all instead of diamonds
fixes a bug where King of Space and Time could be played while the opponent had a Jack in play
fixes a bug where cards with Flexible were still Flexible after being transformed by Queen of Music
fixes a bug where Exploiting an opponent's Suit Yourself would cause a softlock
fixes a bug where Plate of Escardgot could not be Exploited after being unlocked by card other than itself
fixes a bug where cards in the Counterfeiter event were interactable before clearing the dialogue
fixes a bug where hovering a card and then using the hit/stand hotkey would leave the card tooltip on the screen
fixes a bug where input prompts were hidden behind the ID Cards for choosing next encounter
fixes Carduus acanthoides capitalisation (species should not be capitalised)
updates Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese localisation with a bunch of changes

Demo is AMAZING but the game needs some balance tweaks

I definetly felt like some encounters were unfair/unwinable The concept is SUPER cool! but I do think that the final game needs polish and overall balance tweaks to make the mental grind not so brutal.

Garbage rng or tweaked?

Just watched a low level opponent get 7 21's in a row which while not statistically impossible is highly improbable, not giving this another chance. Bye and good luck.

Thoughts/Feedback for devs, on why I wouldnt buy

So the entire first zone I am playing vanilla blackjack, and then by the third zone I feel like I am not playing blackjack at all. This is so sudden it is jarring to me. I feel like I need more introduction of the game's rulebreaking earlier. Having one or two unique cards in the deck doesnt do much and then eventually most turns rulebreaking is happening. You also so rarely blackjack that the suit powers dont matter until suddenly they do a LOT which just... hm. I dont know, it feels kind of bursty to dea...

Absurd difficulty spike after hearts

How are you even supposed to win with a deck of anything other than hearts? Granted, I should be taking a lot less damage than I am, but you're always going to take damage eventually just through luck of the draw, and all the other healing options are garbage. Which is not to say that hearts are even good, since they depend entirely on happening to get a blackjack, but without them you're left with pretty much nothing worthwhile. Spades especially tick me off, because you usually only get blackjacks near ...
