Hi! What isn't working for you with controller/steam deck? I'd like to fix whatever issue you're experiencing

Hi! Steamdeck player here: ever since the recent update i've been experiencing less smooth gameplay by a wide margin. i.e. game freezing when switching between sections of the game (deck choice to entering tavern, end of encounter to card choices and so on) These transitions do load eventually, but i am getting a pretty significant frozen screen between transitions. Love the game overall, just a recent issue (:

Some reviews point a bug where the save date gets whipped, is that fixed yet? Dont want to buy a game that will erase progress itself at any point..

I've just finished working on a save data backup and restore system, now testing it thoroughly before I update the game to include it

Hi, I’m not sure what that player was experiencing but I also play on my steam deck and notice that it crashes when I am using the built in controller controller and choosing the cards at the top. For example, if the game asks to choose a card to burn or a card to double the value of, my game would crash if I used the steam deck joystick controller to move to the left or right to see the descriptions of each card.

I almost stopped playing after this happened a few times but thankfully switched to using the steam deck’s trackpad so I basically just use the steam deck like a mouse instead of the joystick to move around. I’m really glad I didn’t bounce off the game as I’m really enjoying going through each deck and seeing all the cards and the game works great on steam deck if using the trackpad. Great game! Hope my description of this one issue helps you make the game even better.
