What got censored?

I see people here talking about how Capcom is censoring something in this collection, but most of the threads are just people arguing with one another. So what specifically is getting censored?

Not exactly censored, but Dimitri's super in Fighting Jam would transform characters into JoJo characters or characters that look identical to them, they had to change it because Bandai now owns the license unfortunately.


I haven't played Power Stone or Project Justice arcade modes so I've no clue about that.

I get why people would lament that, but that's a rights issue. It sucks, but it's not anything "woke" or "DEI" or "snowflake" at all.

You were able to before? I never played Rival schools 2, only the first.

That's not censorship. I looked it up. If anything, this feature was never even included in international ports of the game. With the reason being that they would have to translate too much text to be a worthwhile thing. So, yeah, not even close to censorship.

These are arcade ports.

The people crying about censorship should just stick with Fightcade. That's where most of the playerbase will go after the first year.

Click a game, check it's change log and you'll quickly realize everything is vague and everyone has been assuming and crying out woke capcom censorship. If there are actual censorship issues we'll find out closer to release, but at the moment outside of analyzing the trailers and such we genuinely don't know. Yet the steam forums are still up in arms about it, go figure.

I remember hearing somewhere that Rouge's transformed design was altered. If that's true, then I'm not exactly surprised since it was pretty risque back in the day: iirc she was bear breasted except for nipple tassels.

Of course, that's just what I remember hearing, and I couldn't be assed to fact check if it's actually censored. Tbh I don't really care if it is or not.

As far as I know, the games I'm interested in, which are Capcom vs SNK2 and Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper, are the exact arcade versions but enhanced with filters, resolution, widescreen, console extras like secret characters and screens, and other console options.
For me, it's great.
