Crossplay would just add more players. Within a few months, the player base will be small. Would have been nice.
Exactly, it won't have multiplatform support from the start, but depending on the success of the collection, they could release a patch later to have multiplatform support.
Without a doubt, the most played and longest-running version will be the PC version, and we'll see about the console version, since it also comes out for the last generation.
The Switch version will do better. On Windows people have been stealing these games for a long time already.
Well, with the fantastic price this collection has, you'd have to be a cheapskate to pirate it, but I agree that the Nintendo version will be the most played after the PC version. I hope they release a patch later to make it multiplatform and extend the life of this fantastic collection.
It's a fact, the PC wins by a mile. I also occasionally play 80s games since they're great, like Capcom's Tiger Road, Samurai Shodown 2, and the uncensored 5 Special, even though the latter is newer; Double Dragon, Metal Slug, Rastan, Wonder Boy, and a thousand other titles.
We're almost there until we're beating the hell out of each other, although now with the surprise of Oblivion Remake, I'll have to beat them both at the same time.
Newbies can already train like there's no tomorrow, because otherwise they're going to have a terrible time no matter how much EO the game has. I'm going to give it my all, and they'll say, "Oh my God, I can't even win with EO." :)
Aside from complete failures like the OUYA and the Chinese version of the Switch, none of the digital console game stores have taken down the ability to redownload your games. You can still redownload WiiWare games purchased 18 years ago. Will it go down in the future? Probably, but that goes for Steam too.
No way, on Steam you can play games from 30 or 40 years ago without any problem and that won't change in the long term.
Ah yes, I vividly remember Tetris coming out on Steam in 1985.
What?
