I think most of them were a reference to something Capcom doesn't own, like JoJo Part 3 stuff. That makes sense, as for the rest I cannot comment.
CvS2 seems to be untouched though, which is nice. And most of the normies buying this will probably get it for this particular game. I already see the "counter arguments" being like "who cares, it's cvs2 with rollback bro"
That said we don’t know what they changed for the stages. And CvS2 is untouched so the centerpiece is alright. And no one is going to play CFJ anyway.

This actually is not censorship. In the original some characters would change into those from Jojo, specifically they'd become Lisa Lisa and Enya The Hag.
The reason for the removal is because Capcom doesn't have the Jojo license anymore and cannot legally include this Easter Egg.
(Which is why we don't have Heritage For The Future on Steam)
