If you are streaming the game via Discord, change these settings to avoid the error:
Settings -> Voice & Video -> Scroll all the way to the bottom -> Under screen share: Use our advanced technology to capture your screen = OFF -> Use an experimental method to capture audio from applications = OFF.

Same error here. When launching the game, I get the error below:

There's also what _seems_ to be random text above that, such as:
1) "honk, HONK, honk, HONK. :o)
there's a clown behind you"
2) "a wild ERROR appeared and used CRASH
it's super effective"
3) "hey look, a squirrel
it's probably responsible for all this"
4) "cows eat kitties but pigs don't eat cows
they just get 'replaced' by them"
5) "you better run, and you better hid
'cause a big fat hawk just ate that guy"

I tried the Discord suggestion above to no avail. Closing it also made no difference.

Any suggestions on how to _successfully_ launch the game and/or fix this uncaught JavaScript exception (Error: Couldn't create directory '~/localization/' at Anonymous function (@/scripts/core/loader.js:143:4)), please?

Yeah the random messages are built into the open source engine we use, you get it whenever you crash, mocking the developer of the game (me).

Can you check your "C:/Users" folder and see if there's a weird user folder created by the game? We discovered this issue is caused by the engine somehow messing up the user's windows username and putting the save file in the wrong directory.

Oh, there is.

My username has "í" but there's another folder where that character was replaced with "í" and it has Glyphica localization save in it.

C:\Users\xxxÃxxx\Documents\Sphere Saves\aliasblack.glyphica\localization
