what does it mean when it says that the server I am trying to connect to is running and older version of the game? I was playing the game late lastnight :(

Your client just updated and the server you're connecting to did not download the latest update to the server, find another server that has updated until that server updates.

O servidor ao qual você está tentando se conectar está rodando uma versão mais antiga do jogo.

Atualizei o CS Source faz alguns minutos, e antes disso eu conseguia entrar em todos os servidos. Agora aparece esta mensagem "O servidor ao qual você está tentando se conectar está rodando uma versão mais antiga do jogo."
Gostaria de saber como faz para atualizar o server, ou voltar para versão antiga, pois esta versão nova nenhum server é compatível.

Updated the CS Source a few minutes ago, and before that I could go into all served. Now this message appears "The server you are trying to connect to is running an older version of the game."
I wonder how do to upgrade the server, or go back to old version. This version is not compatible with any server.

You can't. They have to update it themselves. The problem is that steam ruined most of the servers mods so now most things like Zombiemod, jailbreak, gungame, ect ect DON'T WORK! Email steam and tell them to fix it FAST!

steam didn't ask me to upgrade...it simply made it.

Steam updates your game automatically when you close any game you are playing.
Updating a game server is another thing.

If your version is older, you need to run a validation on your game files:
Right click the game in your library, go to properties, click on the local files tab, then verify integrity of game cache.

If the server is running an older version, the server owner is responsible for updating it. In the mean time, use the "internet" tab of the server browser, adjust filters to find pings under 200. The servers that come up on this list will be up to date.
If you happen to know your fav server's admin, please contact them; we server owners appreciate being told when the game has been updated, as some of us don't check daily.
