Low FPS + strange smooth/blurry text on every Source game, please help.
Every single Source game I own is getting low FPS and this strange blurry text. I was able to play Source games fine until now.

Lately I have been tweaking my computer to maximize my FPS, I think something I changed may have caused this problem. Or maybe it was a Source update from Valve.

It is hard to see but if you zoom in all the way you will see the text is kind of bubbly like Comic Sans. I also have blurry font in the server browser. It is like anti-aliasing has been jacked up x100, or like I am trying to run Source games at a resolution my monitor does not support.

Yes, makes it very hard to read.

You can check your Letter Font here:

So maybe it wasn't one my tweaks, but rather an Valve update?

I doubt it was a valve update, then more people would have the same problem.
I think its on our end.

Perhaps reinstalling the game and reseting the config file would fix the problem.

how do I reset the config file?

your config file is stored in the steam cloud.

the weird bubbly text in the screenshot are most probably caused by Morphological Anti-aliasing/FXAA in ur Nvidia Control Panel/Catalyst Control Center. disable it and it will go back to normal :)
