For people, that like configs (add this launch parameter first: +exec userconfig.cfg, then use that CFG in a CSTRIKE\CFG dir.):
cl_cmdrate 66
cl_updaterate 66
cl_interp_ratio 1
cl_interp 0.015152
cl_lagcompensation 1
in console. :( thanks anyway
My previous post wasn't very detailed. The parameter was needed to EXEC the config file, titled "userconfig.cfg", from "/cstrike/cfg/" folder. Without it the file wouldn't be executed at all.
You just paste all those cvars into the notepad, save the file, as userconfig.cfg (not userconfig.cfg.txt, cause it won't work) and place in the "/cstrike/cfg/" folder, that's all.
Probably you were playing this game with Lerp=100 for too long and now you can't play with sharp settings. Short Lerp makes server Hitboxes (invisible player models registering your bullets) to be better synchronized with Skinned models (those you can see).
It's your choice, which settings you will use.
'userconfig.cfg' not present; not executing. i am re reading everything u said i dont seem to have missed something so why is it not working for me? plz help me D:
Steps are:
Open windows explorer or any folder >
Click >Tools tab
Click >Folder Options
Click >View tab
In the View Tab find ...Hide file extensions for known file types
and
Unselect the check box
Click Apply and OK
Now you can rename any file to what u want.
Thx Gro for your tuto its working now :)
I wanted to give you a ready one with few convars added, but I see you did it (userconfig.cfg):
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_B6iRQKBB-ebmRiQjNBSmdUY3M
And I don't see any reason to not use cl_interp, while you know, what you're doing...
...anyway: LERP = 15.2 = cl_interp 0.015152
This engine is not perfect and interp_ratio 1 alone is not enaugh for this engine to calculate Lerp properly.
