i can't play cs source offensive, is cs source broken?

Since the last patch of the game I have not been able to play this mod, the first time I installed it it worked without errors, I played this mod a lot, but now I get errors and more errors, I have looked for solutions in the original forum of the mod, I checked if I installed it correctly and it still won't let me, I uninstalled steam and it still won't let me, can someone help me please I want to play again

you need to downgrade to the previous build
Right click on CSS in library, go to properties and select betas, choose previous build.
Go to the cstrike folder and rename hl2.exe/.sh to cstrike.exe/.sh add -game cstrike to your launch options and this should work.

I don't know if it would work because the mod is not for older versions of the game but I'll try.

lol dude it wasn't necessary uninstall steam for this.

Unfortunately it didn't work for me. I tried both versions. With the mod you get an error and the game starts to auto-reinstall things that don't let you play either. I think the creators of the mod will have to release a patch or a new version of the cs.so mod.

Well first google how to 'create a .bat file', once you are aware of that you need to create it in your Counter Strike Source folder. The folder is located in the steam/steamapps/ directory. If you don't know how to find your steamapps directory you can google that too.
