AWP zoom fire crash?

the game crashes when sniper rifles fire on zoom mode.
I have reinstalled the game but not fixed. is it only me?

I've created a github issue about this: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Source-1-Games/issues/7112 please provide further detail and your system specifications there, as Valve will actually read it there.

You can click 'help' and then 'system information' to get your specs, but the main thing is your OS, GPU and CPU.

hey, y'all should try running CSS from a desktop icon instead of the steam launcher..which is what i normally use. Seems to work better.

Once in a game, if you switch to borderless window and back to fullscreen again this fixes the issue for me and at least one other player we've tested.

Same happens to me.
If I open the game and load a map, the AWP works fine. If I then load another map via console (or even reload the same map) and someone else joins me, firing the AWP while zooming will crash to desktop.

been playing source since 05, ive had this bug from time to time, cant remember what caused it or how i fixed it

Kinda tough when you don't know if it will even happen. Just because you don't have the problem doesn't invalidate it. It's random. I just played 5 different rounds today and it happened one out of 5 sessions. Sometimes it is 2 or 3 out of 5. Sometimes none. It is also independent of which system I use it on. I have 5 laptops. THEY ALL have exhibited this bug. I'll go even further to say they have all had the issue on either WINDOWS 11 OR LINUX because I run dual-boot systems on all of them. So IMO the system dependency argument is already out the window. Trust me it is happening to many people. It's either that or thousands of us got together and decided to report a bogus bug. You decide.
