Not only that, even changing the graphics settings in the game will make it crash.

problem is, when game change to single-player mode (maxplayers 1), loading map will crash game.

Making a note here and hoping it helps. After trying to start a bot match, yes, setting maxplayers to 1 crashes the game. I suspect the stress test does this too.

It crashes if cl_localnetworkbackdoor is set to 1
also, the crash only occurs on 64-bit
