Downloading custom maps from server at extremly slow speed
Hey guys,

I am completly new to this server hosting stuff but I managed to setup a CSS server for some friends which was actually pretty easy. It's nothing fancy, just standard with no plugins and only three custom maps. This is where the trouble starts. When I change the map to a custom one every player starts downloading the map but it takes ages. On other servers it's like "3,2,1 done" while it takes about several minutes to download de_rats on my server.

The server itself is a dedicated virtual server with a 100/100 connection. So technically this should work fine. Any solutions would be appreciated.

From memory the game limits the downloads to something like 30kb/s.
If you want it faster you need a fast download url set up so that players are redirected to a website to download the maps.

I also did that but it doesn't work aswell. Does this needs to be a http URL or do ftp URL also work?

Поддерживаю эту тему. У себя дома настроил игру и столкнулся с таким неудобством. Люди закачивают карту долго.

А где это сказано ?
Я больше чем уверен есть консольное ограничение на закачку чтоб у игроков не дергалась игра, когда кто-то скачивает. Например, что влияет на скачивание:
sv_download 1
net_maxfilesize "32"
maybe net_maxfragments ?
???
Кто подскажет??
