Need help installing sourcemod, metamod source, gungame:SM, and deathmatch mode for a local server

In the title name. Please help. I have been trying for hours to get everything working, but whenever i enter "sm" or "meta list" into the console, it wont work. Please help.

Firstly you need to install the "MetaMod:Source" addon in your server, not in the game's files. Once you did it, open the server and type plugin_print in console; it must show you the MetaMod addon and its version. If it works, you can now install the SourceMod addon (make sure to keep your server closed while installing it). Finally, open the server and type plugin_print again, check that MetaMod:Source is working, then type meta list and look for SourceMod addon and its other plugins (SDKTools, SDKHooks, etc).

Where do i get a server? And also, im talking about a local one, where it says bots, their difficulty, and map. If its impossible to install it to a non-internet server, then i understand why.

You cannot run an addon using the internal game's files; you must download a server instead.

I recommend you to use the SteamCMD tool.

·Extract the "steamcmd.exe" anywhere you want. The file where this app is located, will be the server's location.

·Run the program and wait until it will be ready.

·When it's done, write (step by step) this commands:

login "anonymous"
force_install_dir ./CSSourceServer/ (this is optional, you may skip this command if you don't want to save your server on a custom file)

app_update 232330


·When it's ready, it will say "Success! App '232330' fully installed.", then you can close the application (or type quit/exit).

·After that, the server is installed, but you must make it playable by configuring it out; go to the server's destination and open the game's file, example;

"C:\CSSDedicatedServer\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Source Dedicated Server\" and locate an application called "srcds.exe", it should have the Half-Life 2 logo on it.

·Create a shortcut of it anywhere you want. I recommend you to create it on the Desktop for an easier/quicker access.

·Once the shortcut is created, do right click on it and select "Properties".

·It will open you a new window, so on the "Destination" line you must write -game cstrike (at the end). It should look like this:

"...\srcds.exe" -game cstrike (these dots represents the current destination; ignore them).

·Your server is done.


If you're using a Windows operating system, make sure to fully disable your Windows Firewall and opening both TCP and UDP ports for srcds.exe in your router.

Okay. I will do what you said, and will tell you if anything happens.
EDIT: I have a problem. When you said to type the "-game cstrike" into the destination line, i looked in properties, and i couldnt find the line. Where is it?
Another Edit: Nevermind, copied my program to the desktop instead of making it a shortcut.

I have all of the plugins except for SM:gungame working. Any info on that? I enabled it and modified the cfg file to my liking. I also installed it the same way as the other plugins.

Make sure to enable the mod via its command/value. It should be "gg_enable" to enable, and "gg_disable" to disable it.
