Why are there no Casual Servers anymore?

The Server Browser is full of deathmatches. I want to play serious and normal as earlier, not running like an idiot and shooting without any tactics.

I totally feel the same way.

You're best finding servers in your country (or near countries) using something like Battle Metrics: https://www.battlemetrics.com/servers/search?game=css

These servers are ranked by activity, and you can filter by a few criteria, but most importantly the server names should allow you to visually ignore all the zombie / dm / gg / jb / surf modes from a shorter and more pertinent list of active servers that you'll actually want to play on.

My advice is then build up a favourites list of the top relatively vanilla servers and you're good to go :)

You might also find https://www.gametracker.com/search/css/? useful, but the two sites pretty much overlap and the former has better country filters.

was never a fan of either game mode in css, and ive played nearly 2 decades of cs games so at this point i just want some deathmatch or gungame

theres probably still a 24/7 dust2 or 24/7 office server up

Yes, I was just playing there, it's Russian btw, but guys are alright. If you browse more for servers, you'll be surprised how many players still play CSS. Personally, I play it because my friend has potato PC that can't run CS:GO smoothly, and for nostalgia too :)
Wasted about 1000 hrs back in the day

Back then my old Lenovo IdeaPad laptop couldn't even get like above 40fps at 1024x768 (4:3 lol) lowest settings in most maps in CSGO. That's partially a reason why I liked CSS more as I could easily get over 110fps in most maps and game modes at HD+ high-ultra.

Now with my Acer Nitro gaming laptop, I can easily get over 350fps in CSS at FHD max with mods, and theoretically get over 150fps in CSGO also at FHD max.

It's like a night-day difference going from a crappy Radeon R5 512MB iGP to an entry level decent GeForce GTX 1050M 3GB. Same with going from a garbage AMD A10 APU to a high end (for laptop standards) Core i5 9300H. From R5 to 1050 was like using Nvidia 8800 GTS to GTX 680 or like ATi HD 4750 to HD 7950, or R5 230 to R9 280X. And then A10 to i5 was like going from i3 530 to i7 4790K or Phenom II 985 to FX 9590.

I was adding on to what ::GHOST:: wrote with my own story. Bruh, I already upgraded to this Acer Nitro laptop almost a year ago.

Yes, I know my laptop is a joke compared to PS5 and Xbox Series X, but because of personal reasons, I decided to not go for building a high end desktop.

my system is a decade old, got an i7 950 cpu and upgraded the gpu for a while til the gtx670 i have now

since pretty much every game i play is 10+ years old, chances are ill be using this same build until it dies and i have no other choice
