Is CCS oficially a dead game?

This game hasn't many players than CS 1.6 and CSGO, any updates and less servers with not many game styles (Like surf, zombies, gungame)
What do you think? Should we call CSS a dead game?

it's not as active as it used to be, but it's far from dead. There are many players that fill servers daily, active map development and many community servers still quite alive.

Nah. It's not dead, of course it's "glory times" are all gone, but still there are a lot of players who enjoy the game, and won't seem to be leaving it soon.

It is still a good game and it has quite a few players online and even more: it has for a few more years. This is partly because not everyone has great hadware to switch to CS: GO for example. And the number of plugins and mod is only limited by the imagination of the users.

No it is definitely not dead. You can still play online quite easily.

I don't think hardware limitations are the reason people play CSS over CSGO, they are very different games

If we already know, that's why I put "for example". But it is still a factor. Have you seen the CS:GO mods for CS:S?

Very true I play on the plaguefest server and gun game, at least they don't have childish ass rules like most servers have.

People play Source because they like it, any crappy computer can play CS:GO. And there are still lots of servers with a lot of players and I don't think they will be going anywhere.
