CS: Source Download Size?

Hi all, I really want to buy the game but I'm limited to mobile data, so if the game is too large of a download I won't be able to get it. Does anyone know how large it is? Storage space is no problem, just expensive internet.

Also, does it take a lot of data to play online? Anyone got stats on data usage?

And lastly, is there any chance the game will go on sale soon? Thank you so much for any help. Cheers

The game is about 4.3 gigabytes
and it takes more data than you can imagine
if u play it for a year it is about 10 gigs :D

Game size is ~4,5go. Game networking is pretty well optimized and no need thousands of packets to play in multiplayer, at least, if you don't play with 128 players on complex maps!
Next sales is Summer sales i think, maybe you will be able to get Counter-Strike Source at this time.

Maps folder over 106 GB. Materials and models around 6 GB. temp folder only for sprays is a bit over 2 GB. sounds folder about 700MB.

last time i probably cleaned my css install was 2-3 years ago.

I don't know why this is game is 4.31 gb, but when I install this game, it only shows 2.44 gb in steam but folder is of 4.31 gb ram

You do realize Steam games can't be installed locally to a mobile device right? Unless you have a Steam Deck, ROG Ally, or other PC handhelds, but even then those are essentially PCs in the form factor of a gaming handheld
