need help with css Skins

I put new guns skins from gamebana to my_custum_stuff folder , than i lounh the game but my skins look like checkerboard pink and black , Is there any solution? , I really want to play with the new guns skins :(

Delete the my_custom_stuff folder and make a new one. download a different mod and see if thing happens. if it doesnt, you know what caused the issue. if it still has pink all over it, verify the integrity of game cache and/or reinstall CSS. that should fix your issue.

skin installing tutorial:

make a folder called custom in cstrike folder

make a folder with the name of the gun i.e golden deagle skin

extract rar or zip inside it

if there are no folders for materials and sounds make ones

In a nutshell: take all the main folders, I.E.: materials, models, etc. drop them in the my_custom_stuff folder even if you already have files with the same name in there. The files will auto find where they're supposed to go even if you have other skins already installed.

Oh yeah, and if it asked you to overwrite files, ALWAYS accept or you WILL crash on startup! The file that's overwritten is usually the main script file that most mods come with a copy of so if you have two of those you crash.
