I waited so long for this. I used to have 60-70fps that felt like 30-40 but now everything is much smoother, enjoyable even on RTX 4060 (2k, Mostly high settings) :P

its absolutely ridiculous that a simple patch ended up being a 186.6 gb update. NO ONE has the space for this ♥♥♥♥. not to mention the concept of club ark being complete ass. a subscription service in a survival game? really? im thoroughly disappointed with the direction this game has taken. its virtually unplayable and getting worse by the minute.

Yes, not everything was fixed, and it never will be. But this are the patches which over time improve the game. Not if they release more and more new features, but constantly improve the base.

Seriously for pve people who want immersion, the new features that are added do not add anything in QOL, madmax 4x4s? I don't care at all.. it's for kids who pvp, we already had dinosaur mounts.

Laracroft costumes, dinosaur costumes? I don't care either, I play a prehistoric survival game with dinosaurs.... I don't play Fornite.
The power ranger collaboration? it's horrible and it sucks.

They prefer to make skins than to seriously work on bugs, the QOL of the game, the optimization problems of Unreal engine.

Ark becomes a P2W game for kids who want to shoot in playmobil with weapons in rabbit costumes on a hotweels 4x4 with a triceratops skull

When was the last time they did an update that improved the behavior of dinosaurs to make them look alive and not like puppets walking in circles?

When did they improve the logic of dinosaur spawning?

The shadow flickering issues they don't care about, which hasn't been fixed for months on the graphics cards in question.

Don't tell me they seriously fix the game with the patches, they do it mostly to say "hello I'm here!"

They make patches, add new elements, re-patch because the new elements break the game, etc... It would be particularly good if they blocked the schedule for a few months to do big old bug fixes rather than adding new skins and paid DLC every month with updates that take up GB for nothing.

Personally I'm not interested in the ark club, I find it useless to play mini games, I didn't buy ark for that. Those who love the ark club, good for them we have to make everyone happy.

In the meantime I'm still waiting to see what I saw in the official trailer of ark: the nests of babies interacting with the parents, cuddling, the dinosaurs living and interacting with each other, ...

You should check some videos on YouTube, seems like Framgen gets enabled by default with rtx cards which might explain why your 60 fps felt like 30.

While I see a lot of players with NVIDIA cards love the update and the return of the NVIDIA frame gen features, for me and my 7900 XTX the performance has gotten worse. I had been kinda happy for the past 3 months or so with the forced AMD framegen update, but something has changed again. Looks and runs worse. I am back to not getting 60 fps in 1080p. I really hope that IF they at some point release a UE5 update big things will change dramatically, because the performance of this game has been a memeable joke for over a year now.

Oh, and it also crashes a lot since the update as well. Just freezes, no errors.

You’ll never see the nests with babies. The best you’ll get is a skin you can wear that looks like that.
