Global Illumination is Horrible!
Is there anyway to fix the Global Illumination without having to turn it on low?
I have a Geforce RTX 4070 Ti 12GB and cannot fly threw the redwoods without the screen flashing light and dark and everything looking dark even after I've left the woods. It's horrible. The only way I've been able to temp fix it is by turning Global Illumination to low and then back to High. I need it on high at least to see the loot drops.

It seems to be an engine issue with lighting and textures. May also be impacted by post processing. I found a similar issue in the link below with someone commenting about changing the anti aliasing setting to tsr but not sure if this is a nvidia control panel setting or allowed console command in the game. I’ll have to test later.

Think I fixed it, in nvidia control panel set
Antialiasing mode = override any application setting
Antialiasing setting =2x
Antialiasing transparency =multisample

Been playing with global illumination on epic with no shadow flicker. Without the above it usually goes crazy after 5 minutes while flying

Edit: NM issue is still there but weird that it took a while to return

It’s an unreal engine issue according to the link you provided. That wouldn’t be something us players can necessarily fix it goes on the game developers to fix.

I have a 4070Ti running 4k and have GI on med (low is ass cause you can't see drops).
Have never seen an issue with flickering in the redwoods or light not changing properly when leaving area.
Only difference from the GeForce recommends are:
AA on low
Resolution Scale 100
View distance High
RTX OFF

I’ll have to check my settings next time I load up but I have them on whatever nvidia has recommended.

I had all these same settings except for RTX which is:
Nvidia DLSS On
Frame Generation On
Super Resolution Balanced
Nvidia Reflex Low Latency On

I'm going to turn all these off to test and see if it helps.

I hope I'm not speaking to soon, but so far with all the RTX off it's fine. No Issues.

Nice! Here's to hope!
I do have reflex on but not low latency. haven't played with it too much.
I do have occasional crashes of sadness but no weird graphics.
