Can not download island character to other maps [Single Player] [ASA]

I can upload island Character no problem, however, when i go to other maps, click download survival -> Spawn Survival -> get Helena's talk -> black screen for ten seconds -> ask me to create a new character.

I just tried, characters created on scorched earth, can be uploaded in scorched earth and can be downloaded in any other maps.

It seems the game has problem extracting character information from SavedArksLocal/theIsland_WP to other maps.

My old characters created on the centre map could be uploaded, but could not be downloaded in other maps, just like the characters from island (also an old characters). Probably this is my time to leave this game. As much as I love it, there are too many computer coding problem i need to solve. I know I can create a new character in scorched earth and force join tribe on the island, and unlock tek engram all using command line, but hell, this is ARK not python.

Yes, character information in Obelisk (i.e. in Saved/LocalProfiles/PlayerLocalData.arkprofile) disappear. However, island map retains character information (files in SavedArksLocal/Theisland_wp). So if I open the island again, it will ask me to respawn the character.

I have more testing now and I am very sure that it is not about map, simply, newly created characters can be downloaded to other maps. Old characters created in 2024 could not be downloaded to other maps

Buggy issue, but you can try this when you get to this part of your description

Yes I tried with both option on and off, when this is on, I don't have the download character button at all.

For the GiveToMe, I noticed that method, but I can not 'get randomly spawned', the game black screen and exit, before the 'spawn'

Now I found a solution, I am on single player so my solutions may not work for server.

I realized that this is a tribe compatible problem, I read some people's post and saw people using ForcePlayerToJoinTargetTribe to force join tribe and get this solution.

Simply, after your ascension on the island do NOT download your character at any new map, just download your character back to the island map. If you want to simply move from the island to the scorched earth, do not use the Obelisk, just do the following:

Assuming that you are moving a character from the island to the scorched earth,

(1) First open this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Saved\SavedArksLocal
(2) there must not be ScorchedEarth_WP folder, if there is, delete the whole ScorchedEarth_WP folder (which removes your scorched earth records) (well, you want to move your island character to scorched earth right? of course you want to delete stuff in scorched earth)
(3) Go to the main menu, click Create or Resume Game, observe that there is no save icon for scorched earth.
(4) Click single player for scorched earth, create a new character, get into the scorched earth map.
(5) run a bit, click save games, click exit to main menu
(6) observed that under SavedArksLocal folder, now ScorchedEarth_WP folder appears, with three files inside

LocalPlayer.arkprofile - which is your new character
181800000.arktribe - which is your new tribe that your new character sits in
ScorchedEarth_WP.ark - the map world

Now, important step: delete LocalPlayer.arkprofile and 181800000.arktribe.

(7) Go to folder TheIsland_WP, Copy 1700686425.arktribe and 1700686425.tribebak and LocalPlayer.arkprofile and LocalPlayer.profilebak to ScorchedEarth_WP folder.

The number could be different, this 1700686425 is my tribe number, yours must be different. But simply put, you forced copy your tribe and characters from the island into the scorched earth.

(8) Now... enter scorched earth, respawn your character, and boom.... you wake up with your Island old character

(9) if you want to move items from the Island to scorched earth, just enter the Island and upload items and dino, do not upload character, go to scorched earth (your characters have already been moved), download items and dinos no problem

(Well if you have future problems, don't blame me, blame the broken game)
(I think I must leave this game now, I spent most of my day times on fixing math models problems, I don't want to spend my night on fixing software problems as well)
