Good point but doesnt address weather this is intended behavior or not.

EDIT: Wandering enabling breeding has always been a mechanic of the game....not a bug.
I guess I've never left dinos on wander then... that seems to waste the point of the mating setting...
Snails are bisexual. There are no males and females. Each Snail is male and female. That's the reason that mating can't be turned off. You have to castrate them.
don't neuter them, just full them of stuff like fur, stone, wood etc, nothing can mate if they are full
I thought of this right after I posted, I thought I read that years ago back in ASE.
