How much dinos can spawn on The Island or other maps?

First of all, I play on Single Player with the "-PreventHibernation" setting

My Dino Finder Mod shows 27336 creatures on the map but since I reached that number it does not increase anymore and I start having issues with some creatures are less common than they should be (for example 18 Baryonyx on the whole map even after killing many swamp creatures) or an underwater cave with 60% eels and the rest Mantas and Cdnirias. Not a single shark or other big underwater threats.
I'm wondering, if there is a limit for dinos that can spawn on a Single Player session.

As a side note, does anyone else having the issue that most times only one cave drop spawns? The only cave where I had more than one was the Lava Cave.

Of course there is. Seems like it's 27336, you can likely increase that limit in settings, or just every once in awhile cull all the wild dinos so that things repopulate, but eventually the game is going to say that there are enough dinos, there is even a setting tied directly to this where you can cause massive overspawning.
