Gigantoraptor not taming

Whenever i tame a giganatoraptor baby i trap the mother in stone gates decently far away and it lets me tame it up to the last % but once i am one interaction away the baby stops, ive tried letting the parrent come back to the nest then trapping it again but it hasnt worked? How Could I fix This?

i believe trapping the mother is the problem, just drop a big egg or two a ways off then do the dance for baby and wear ghilli to sneak away when mom comes back to check on baby then rinse repeat till baby is your friend

you can no longer trap the parent to imprint on the baby gigantorpator because the parent needs to be able to reach the nest, also if there are any player structures nearby the taming minigame wont start

id try the other way but i havnt seen one in days

they share the theri spawn spots. you can also kill the other wild dinos in the area to get new dinos to spawn
