The Center is unbelievably bad

Many of the visuals on The Center map are just plain bad, rock patches not flush with the ground and instead angled towards the sky, the base of waterfalls as shown in the screengrab here, In this area there's no dino spawns no grass, much of the harvestable vegetation is floating off the ground too.
There's a large cave, DeepOcean I think it was called, has a fireball on the ceiling like a sun, nice place, no fauna, no fish, just vegetation and emptiness
Some of the "easy" spawn locations don't even have stones on the ground to collect for new characters, even though visually there's rocks EVERYWHERE.

Are there plans for this to improve or is it just accept it as is?
I never really played on The Center in ASE so I don't know if it was always this bad, but it really takes me out the game when it's so much.

While ive not noticed many issues with the map itself there is large areas that nothing spawns on my server, areas packed with dinos on ASE Center, so ive no idea why it is the way it is but its annoying since after two weeks ive yet to see a single Ovis or Otter and i look most everyday for them.

I've found on pretty much all coastlines, pointing to the sky.

There's 2 "easy" spawn areas on the east, the northern on, on the northern end of the island,just south of the large land bridges, there's no collectable stones, I've been to the area on 2 separate save games and same issue both times, I only play singleplayer atm if that makes a difference.

It's a shame, it's nice map from what I've seen so far, but the further I travel the more it seems like the creators just got lazy when adding the details.

i think that is a bug related to having foliage interaction set to 0, Island did that same thing

Not the issue this time, I have all settings on epic and foliage interaction settings at 4.

Don't forget that most of the west side of the map drops your FPS to 0 at random.

haven't been over there yet, just made my way through the swamp and came across a big hole in the ground with waterfalls etc, left my gear with my dinos and jumped in to find the terrible waterfall bases, no dino spawns and lack of grass with floating harvestables lol

checked teh place out for a few minutes before dying to the heat

I loved the original. It was one of my favs. Why does this new one look like one giant sand drip castle. Haven't even bought it and I have no horse in this race, just sayin. Tell me I'm wrong and they didn't design it like this? ewwww

yeah this is pretty much every beach I've found so far, no variation, and I took those shots when I couldn't find any rocks to make a pickaxe lol

I did not play this map much at all in ASE, I was on The Island mostly until Ragnarok then that was my home for the next few hundred hours so can't compare, the landmass design, the islands etc are awesome but the details are very lackluster which is why I asked if ASE Center was like this too or if they've just lazily thrown this version together and called it a day.

I think I was running up one of those ramps during my exploration when I died to the heat.
plopping down a sleeping bag and storing everything in my dinos or building a 2x2/2x3 hut with a bed and storage box then going into the unknown naked is my goto strategy, it's fun to just jump into a big hole with no regrets lol.

I just can't see anything more tha sand now because of you, I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.

some of the texture pattern work is pretty awful and too obvious and what I mean by that is they look good but the patterns are often very bad

It just keeps getting worse, exploring the swamps around tops of these waterfalls and I'm able to run underneath the water with some dinos, unfortunately one got stuck in the terrain and I think it now lives there forever :(

Someone said they thought it looks like drippy sandcastles. I think it looks like the Philippine Islands. IMO that's the look they were going for. I hated The Center map on ASE and only ever went there once they added Carchas, I think it's very beautiful now.

It's a nice map, I'm enjoying exploring it BUT the detail work is very sloppy, I've been walking underwater, fell down gaps in the terrain next to rocks and got stuck, had dinos fall into rocks and get stuck, unable to find stones on beaches visually littered with stones, missing grass, floating rocks and flora, baby dinos are often stuck inside each other, sometimes floating too, on that, entire areas with no dino spawns at all, not even fish, sometimes dino pathing will just stop following me and turn back as if there's a line of pathing nodes missing and it's looking for another way around, even though it's empty ground.

There's more but it's 2:30am and I've just turned the game off for the night and these ones are fresh in my mind from just the recent play session lol

True the map is beautiful, when it works. The problem is that is failling to much and on things that should be fixed before launch. But that again, is free well...after buying the game hehehe I would be furious if that was a payed DLC rsrs.
