oil just not on the center?

I keep following the resource maps and just not seeing any where it says.

Oil is both on ocean floor and in rocks up on snowy mountains.
The big iceberg in middle of lake next to green obelisk has a few oil rocks on it too.

Literally everywhere.. some one penquin island , tons up in the snowy zones , tame a frog and make scuba gear and head to the 2nd tier shelfs in the ocean ( though be careful here , the electric eels will kick you're ass) , on a side note..frogs are literally the fastest animal in the game and don't lose stamina in the water , a 150 with movement speed only into it will put you across the map in like 2 minutes. AND if you're good with them they can kill most anything underwater AND collect the most chitinden from the trilobites..Yes I love my frogpool , he's amazing. Probly my favorite pet , I use him for almost everything water / travel related.

it's snow covered and kind of blackish , will kinda look like iron but taller.

Best way for oil on The Center = Tame a Basilosaurus and then go kill other Basil's. More oil than you know what to do with.
