But for now ASE has way more content.
Make sure your hardware isn't to old as many have issues even with newer hardware. ASA isn't that much different than ASE just a new paint job and quality of life features which ASE had via mods. You will have to wait long time for all the content of ASE to be ported though, and it maybe costly, the way things have progressed with WildCard and SnailGames...
The game can look better (Island and Scorched Earth) or worse (Center). The weather effects are really cool. ASA is very buggy. I have had dinos fall through the earth, etc. Some of the dinos are broken (Thylaco for instance) and apparently the raft is having a lot of issues currently. I tried ASA and went back to ASE as it is, for me, a better functioning game.
