The bowling balls are not in the mountains as a general rule. you find them in the redwoods , carnos are everywhere.
Sometimes you can find a bowling ball on the island with the "C" shaped bay directly under the glowy..
You can also find them in the basement usually to the right of the waterfall if you fly down from the redwoods.
Dung beetles are indeed extremly rare in most caves, i've found only one so far in the central river cave. We have found only one Ovis around the northern glacier so far and only 2 Otters. No Deadons and no Titanos.
Edit: I've seen daeodons and yutys in South snow near the swamp.
hives are working but very hard to spot and they won't really even render unless you're extremely close to the tree
have you tried fire island cave? there's a couple rooms where there's a bunch of them , but there's also alot of other crap you have to drag off the cliff to get to them .
