Naah thats fake, the devs just removed the option "tether distance" like the "Fav"tab without patch note or info, is just a big fail
It is defaulted at 800m caves suck, volcano is buggy but everywhere else its ok. Best advice is to run a spare PC with 16gigs of ram to host your server OR if you have 64gigs of ram just dual host and play on the same system there is a guide for it.
PC gaming has always been about customization, options and choices. Just because something isn’t viable right now doesn’t mean in 2 years it still is. We used to he given the choice of letting our game run like crap for some cool features and it seems game devs are too scared to do that which is ironic seeing as every game in the last 5 years could have run better but nobody cares about making their game run well anymore.
