Low FPS regardeless of resolution and visual settings after update
Hi! Anyone having problems like that after the latest update?

It doesn't matter what resolution I choose 1080, 1440p or 4k, if everything is set on Epic or low, I always have, now, after the update, between 25 and 30 fps with DLSS on and auto frame gen enabled. Isn't that bizarre?

Oh, my pc is a Ryzen 9 5900X with a 4080, 32gb of ram and game and system installed on a SSD.

CPU between 12 and 25% and the GPU between 30 and 40%.

Your CPU is for sure bottlenecking your performance. You should see the GPU in the 90s if not occasionally at %100. The CPU processes the frames and sends them to the GPU to render. If the CPU is not sending them fast enough the GPU will be under utilized.
You can try a few things to better this. run options in the steam settings for ark help. I have a 4090 and 7900X and still need them to stop stuttering and help performance.

I use...
-USEALLAVAILABLECORES -maxMem=64000 -malloc=system -cpuCount=12-exThreads=24

-maxMem and -cpuCount are machine specific for ram and cpu.

I even OC my CPU/RAM and GPU to further enhance performance. If the above doesn't work Id look into basic things your CPU/MB can do to boost performance in the bios. Be careful though, it's very possible you can configure something that will make you system not boot. All who OC have been there. Just reset the bios and try again

Worst case scenario is your due for an upgrade to the CPU.

Hope this helps

Same here. I just updated my graphics drivers (Radeon 24.5.1 using a RX 7800 XT) and also updated the game with today's update. I used to run the game at around 55-60fps, and now it runs at around 13-15fps.

Something I noticed, the GPU doesn't go over 1750mhz on the game, while it usually worked at around 2600mhz. I remember having this same issue a few months ago, but back then it was due to a certain graphics command I used. I will try to find that info again.

Aren't these system specific? I've read that you can really ♥♥♥♥ your computer up just pasting someone else's launch options that have to do with hardware.

I feel the need to point out that the recommended specs still only get 15-20 fps at best.

Let's see what they did, I JUST updated some analysis I did literally yesterday, showing much improved performance on AMD systems. Now, this. Loading.
