Water Vein disappeared

I picked up a well off the water vein next to my base and the vein disappeared. is this suppose to happen or did i just get very unlucky? Is there a way to get it back without having to rollback my server?

That's a new one. If it is not fixed by re-logging, rollback may be the only solution.

I just had it happen too, but it wasn't the one I had a well on, it was the next one over from me.

Weird. I'll have to check the coords on where my well is. i tried refert on it but that didn't help. so i just spawned on in so i didn't have to rollback :x

the one I was missing came back after a server restart

edit: nevermind, it looks normal from a distance but disappears when you get close

i know in ase water veins would run out haven't played scorched on asa yet but they may do the same

I am having the exact same problem. At a distance the vein is visible but disappears when I approach. Placing a well shows the error that I need a water vein to place it. And the placement object stays red and never locks to position and turns green. It started off on one I removed. Now all on the map are like that.

Can confirm that this one is missing on my world as well as the one at 24.1 38.4

Had this on my server too. Only fix I found was admin spawning a vein there.

When I try spawning a vein, I can't interact with it ; any tip about that ? Thanks :/

I learned recently that water veins have a limited supply of water and can actually run dry. Once it happens, the vein changes to look like a low circle of rock with dry dirt in the middle. (The vein appearing normal at a distance is a visual/LOD glitch.) Our tribe had a perfectly working well, but it decayed when the vein ran dry. I had to find another vein some distance away, and run another series of storage tanks, to get the water back to our base.

What I can't find is whether they ever respawn on their own. The server i play on has restarted once or twice since I noticed this, yet the dried-out wells persist.

No, the only ones on my server that don't work are the ones that were never used to begin with.

I thought this was a normal thing on SE nearly all veins have dried up for me in the desert
