How to Direct Connect to Ark Survival Ascended Server

Problem being solved: Connecting to a ASA server which does not show up in the server list.

1st: Gather the server IP and Port
Use a site like: https://www.battlemetrics.com/
Look for, "Address" and then copy the IP:Port numbers
2nd: Start Ark Survival Ascended, stay on the first page, after the opening video
3rd: press the ` key (the one under ESC) a.k.a Tilde key
4th: Look at the very bottom of the screen...you can click in the command line section
5th: type: open
6th: add a space after 'open'
7th: paste in the IP:Port number
8th: Press enter to connect to your game.

Wait approx 30 seconds for the game to connect.

Example command....this is a faked IP, just for example purposes.

open 96.555.124.108:7777

As far as I can tell you can't. I'm struggling with this too. Since the last update (yesterday, the 12th) nobody can see my self-hosted dedicated in the server list. I can join it by this method, but only if I remove the password from the server. Supposedly you can append "?password" or something along those lines to the open command, but it doesn't seem to work. If anyone has any info on this I would love to hear it.

It's a simple fix. When you are in the menu just hit the tilde key and type in or paste in:

Ark.UseServerList 0

and press enter. Then search for the server you want by name.

I tried that several times with no effect. Tried it again just now and my server is showing up in the list again. Dunno what to think, but glad it's working.

yes it does, and so does putting a check in the "show player servers"

So... my internet is down and I was wondering if it were possible to still connect to my dedicated server in my home. I came here to get the open command but it seems to not be available via the list and also not accessible with the open ip:port command. Ideas?

well, it should be possible to conect to your own server with the OPEN command discussed earlier in this thread, just make sure you don't have a password on the server and it should work.
I'm just trying to lower my ping as much as possible (running game and server same sys you would expect it to be 1-10, but I'm getting an 80...) and found my way here as a possible solution, as even copilot suggested it. Though I have a passworded server
(if you would like to play with us, it has all official maps, and is east coast based, with mods but no premium ones, just let me know and Ill give my discord link)
as I like to invite others to play with us also, and so I need a way to do this with a passworded server... Ill post if I get a way
