Need more than 35 G space for a 300 mb update?
I freed up that much space and steam still says not enough disk space wtf
Does anyone know exactly how much space I need to get this update started?

I freed up to 44.7gb now and this 337.39mb still wouldnt start due to not enough storage space

Right. This has been posted here about 100 times. Due to the way the update works, it needs to make a copy of the game first, and then update the copy. When the update is complete, it replaces the un-updated game with the updated game. So it essentially needs the same amount of space the game takes originally. So around 80 GB of free space.

You need double the amount of the actual Game size, this is how Steam and Unreal Engine works

And you should NEVER stuff your HDD/SSD to the limit, for a Drive to work properly, it needs 10-15% of its whole Space free

Ark is the only game does this that I'm aware of out of hundreds of my other games on steam, and it has been doing it with ASE which was not using unreal engine.
I think it's just bad coding with Ark, which they havent been able to work around despite remaking the game from the ground up

Oh.. I thought introduction to UE was the biggest part of the remake. Guess that explained why there's barely any optimization improvement
