Astraeos released delayed : New creature added

a reptilian maewing is being added


and the release was delayed until the 13th


the new creature will work like old ase dlc

meaning although it only spawns on astraeos


if you have a friend with the map they can tame one and bring it to you on another map


you can still raise them and breed them and use them like normal even if you don't own astraeos

so it means that you can bring the new creature if you own the DLC to other maps? as far as I know excluse creatures in a DLC map only appear in that specific map so that all maps get a different variety of creatures, right?

the "different variety" confusion may only be due to the fact there is a creature called mae-wing

which we do not get until gen 2


it is the fastest in the game, but also, people love it because it allows you to place meat in a trough essentially, for BABIES


by putting meat on the maewing (or berries) and it will feed your dinos when they are BABIES!!


normally you have to hand feed until they are juvenile: with maywing you dont



this is a new reptilian maewing: i doubt it will be fast over land and air (and sea..) like the ultra-duck billed flying squirrel (maewing)


but: it WILL allow the same quality of life for feeding babies:

they even showed an upclose of it's "teets" meaning it is a QOL (quality of life) improvement given to ALL Ark players (who either own the map or have a friend with it)

so we can breed more easily


so in short there is only one version of the new creature which will be added, maeguana,

now you can only get this maeguana on astaeos, yes, but you can indeed bring it to all other servers


any player can use it

if you brought it to the island and cryo podded it and got raided

the raiders can use it now as their own

sry i mis-understood you earlier

yes, for now at least (and likely forever),

the only place Maeguanas will spawn is on Astraeos
