What kind of specs do y’all think are the best to run this game?
I’m thinking of buying the game but because the steam recommendations straight up a lie, I’m looking for your personal recommendations. I want specs that are able to run the game on at least high settings. (Or medium)

game is super unoptimized, but i run a 3060 ti w 32 gigs of ddr5 and an i10700k and w medium settings the game still looks amazing and i barely crash. if u have more than that you should be fine
I have a XFX RX 7900 XTX and a 7800x3d, everything runs "fine"

wish it was better and not having to worry about degrading my brand new gpu

From what i have seen with every post people have trouble with their nvidia cards in this game but my experience with my AMD card has been good.

Again i wouldn't get this game until they optimized it better, it is unacceptable for nvidia cards especially 4090 to struggle with this game.

i have a i9-7920x and a 2080ti and get 40+fps
low/medium settings
with low cpu usage things like textures, shadows and lighting on very high
i have cpu bottleneck with %15 cpu usage

I’m surprised that people are actually responding instead of cracking jokes, saying that you need a US Navy computer. The whole point of this is so I can find the perfect pc for Christmas and even if the game runs in 40 fps, balanced DLSS could probably help with that. I currently have a GTX 1650 laptop that can barely run ASE on medium graphics. I’m pretty sure the reason that people like Syntac and Raasclark are able to run the game smoothly is because they have DLSS on because telling from what you guys are saying, there’s no way they are able to run this smoothly.

AMD Ryzen 5 8600
RTX 4070
32 GB DDR5 4800 mhz
Windows 10 pro
WHQD screen
Game runs at high/ultra settings at almost stable 60 fps.
So far (~200 hours) 3-4 crashes, though half of them was after using console commands.

My rig is 4 years old, now : RTX 3080 10 Gb Vram, 64 Gb Ram 3000 Mhz, I9 9900 kf, win 10 pro.

I'm playing in 4K (3840x2160) and for the moment, only in SP and only on "The Island".

Graphic settings, a mix medium/high, DLSS on "auto", fog and clouds disabled by command, FOV max (100), resolution scale 75, capped the fps in "60", most of time my fps are 40/60.

ZERO crash since the last 600 hours IG (2 very important things : not many mods and well chosing the driver of your GPU, don't hesitate to use an older one, test many ! )

It's quite beautiful and smooth at MY taste.

I’m thinking of getting a PC with a 4090 graphics card; that would be the better choice, right? Because telling from this message, I would be able to run this just fine.

Probably worth waiting for 5080/90 if your budget is high enough as to buy 4090 now, except you get a good deal.
Both most likely release during Q1/2025

With 40 series being discountinued not being made anymore, i would wait for 50 series or get upcoming 8000 series from AMD.

Question is asking yourself, do i want ray traycing or do i want raw power.
FYI 8000 series won't be high end cards, they will function as the 4080/4080 super.
Meaning they will have the power of the 7900 XT / XTX, but with rdna 4 for better ray tracing (sounds too good to be true)

So the choices are spend premium for RT and DLSS or go for price over performance with AMD.

There are really no wrong choice here.

edit: Due to production pull from 40 series the prices will skyrocket even used ones.

I bet the reason why ASA is unoptimized is because SnailGames are waiting for the 50 series.

I believe it is unreal engine 5 thats doing it, because it is owned/partnered with epic games that also is partnered with AMD

Thats why i hear more problems with people who own nvidia cards but VERY little from AMD side

Still is unoptimized but my 7900 XTX which is supposed to be less powerful then 4090 has had no struggles (give or take, if there is alot of dinos in one place it can drop in frames) with playing this game.
This is without FSR 3, AFMF 2 and anti-lag stuff.

whatever GPU you buy just get one that has at least 12 GB of vRAM, 16 GB even better. My 3060 ti unfortunately gets bottlenecked by its own 8 GB of vRAM.

I play at 1440p with DLSS tho cuz 1080p looks very bad on my monitor.

8GB gpu in todays standard i would considered a scam, unless you play low demanding games
