anyone stop using the official forms due to how poorly they are regulated?

if so where is a better alternative?

Unfortunately in ARK, there is no other good place
There is the official Discord, but the moderators are very weird, and it is very likely that you will get banned in less than a week for disagreeing with them

There is also the unofficial Discord
It's much better than the official one, not toxic, and "_snow" will probably help you right away:

Which owner are you referring to? The owner-admin "Tilou" writes like once every two months, and the other one writes every three or four months only when they add new content in ARK
