Same here, I would basically have to wipe my pc...So now I am unsure if i should uninstall or wait it out and try later... like what game asks for 500gb to update XD
I do agree that it is a pain, but that is how it is and many games on Steam does it the same way.
Personally I have never had this problem before, And I never have over 200GB free space... I update dozens of games on multiple platforms... so something is weird here...
Granted, most of the other games do not ask for that much. It would be nice if ASA was also the same.
This 1 file package method is a weird choice, esp for a game this large, with full mod support and in full development(EA).

for those that are stuck at updating : delete ShooterGame-Windows.ucas and verify the files again. this might trick it to use less space (you will have to download it ofcourse)
