Server stuck in ticking loop
I am not sure where it's going wrong or why. I've already reverted the changes I made to the config files and the launch batch file which I presume has the command line arguments. Just it doesn't seem to do anything at all now. The server says it fully starts, and then after stating that I have 8 cores, stops and becomes stuck. It was working fine the day before, and all I tried to do today was add a join and admin whitelist, along with the mod Spawn Blocker. The server doesn't tell me where it's going wrong or anything of the sort and I'm at a loss now. I've also already tried updating the server, and it had no effect.

The launch file has the following:
start D:\AsaDedicatedServer\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\ArkAscendedServer.exe TheIsland_WP?listen?SessionName=PleaseWorkNow?Port=7777? -NoBattlEye -WinLiveMaxPlayers=2 -mods=929578,933576,1086659,929420,932822,939228

Let me know if any other info is needed.

Update: I have no idea why, but these simple things made the startup time go from around about 6 minutes, to 17 minutes. A ludicrously high almost 200% increase in startup time. So anyone facing a similar issue, just wait and see I guess. I hope to dear god I won't ever have to troubleshoot this server because having to wait a third of an hour every single time just to test one change is actually stupid.

Either way, server starts

Hello,
I had the same problem with my server a week ago. Try uninstalling mods and start the server again to see if it's the mods.

If not maybe try to start the server with a backup file : go to the general settings, scroll down a bit to the backup section and there will be an option for "Start with backup" with a drop down menu. Pick the most recent backup, save changes and start the server.

The only thing that worked for me is to delete the server and start a new one.

For the startup time I have no idea sorry :(
Yea I also thought about reinstalling the server, but I didn't feel like suffering the wait honestly. I'll make sure to keep your options in mind should it getting stuck in ticking loop eventually actually happen. Right now I've been making manual backups of the saved folder because I don't trust Ark for as far as I can throw it, and with it's nice chunky 300 or so GB of size that wouldn't be far.
I figured this out! My server wouldn't load with mods on. It kept getting stuck in a ticking loop unless I removed the mods. So I went in the gameusersettings.ini and searched for "mod." I found "Activemapmods=0" and deleted the 0 and now I can have mods!
Hope it helps someone.
If this helps, come say hi on twitch!

Always look in the shootergame/saved/logs folder for the last attempt at starting the server... you will see when reading where the server has an issue... just go slowly and methodically through the log until you see the failed code or problem, it`s more or less always there.
