Server time out since Extinction dropped

My friend runs a server and its currently running the extinction map, which i have been really excited to play again. There are a number of friends who are able to access the server and the game just fine, but everytime i try to , i get a message that it has timed out. Please can anyone help with this, both myself and my friend have done a clean reinstall and checked all settings and cannot see any issues

Does he have BattleEye turned on? if so try turning that off, that can time you out if you take too long to connect to the server, that used to be my problem

I beleive this has already been turned off

Same issue, steam server but we are using Xbox clients. One can connect, the next one can't. Both can connect individually.

I have deleted and started over, changed ports, stopped the other servers, etc. Same result.

I have 7 other server maps running, they are all fine. Multi join is perfect, but not extinction.

Everyone else on the server can log in fine, we have checked my setting and spec of my PC thats all fine, literally cannot find any reason for it, regardless as to if anyone is online or not I just cannot log in

We're running into it daily as well.
Most people can get in eventually, but it's an annoyance.

There is another thread on this very issue where many people are having the same issue, as of yet there is no known fix

hard to tell because most people prefer uselessly spamming the error code instead of explaining any context behind it
