No frame gen option since I wiped PC and reinstalled OS
Did a full reinstall of windows, have re-enabled frame gen in OS but now I have no options in ark for frame gen where I did literally right before I reinstalled everything.
Game runs like crap and struggle to get above 45-50fps where I was locked solid 60fps at all times previously.
Also very choppy.
Any way to re enable frame gen via console or something?

no, they removed it a while back ( at least nvidia frame gen ) now they force a other type of framegen that is realy bad and have terrible frame timing, that's why even with over 60fps the game actualy feels like 20fps at best.

do you know if there is a way to enable nvidia frame generation anyway?

I'm interested in a solution to this also. ( if any)

Framegeneration and Upscaling for any Game.
Steamshop and search for: Looselees Scaling.
Works fine for ASA, Friend is using it with the 2X setting.
4X will have a blury image.

Its just BS as I was literally playing ark fine on locked 60fps on maxed settings literally an hour before I wiped and reinstalled my pc.
Now it's just garbage.

there is some settings in nvidia control panel to handle the latency issues. You can also do a form of frame gen directly from that panel I thought.

you have it setup wrong, people have explained what is necessary for it to work on this forum more than once

in-game there is no way to know what settings need to be on/off for it to work. it won't work without an FPS cap, vsync and DLSS and any card older than the 2000RTX cards can't make use of it anyway

only for 4000 series, the ark frame gen is FCS3 and works for any AMD/Nvidia card that's 2000RTX or newer. the only other framegen that exists is only for 4000 series cards and it doesn't work with AMD

FCS3 is superior which is why it's used in 99% of games now, development of nvidia's version isn't ongoing right now

the problem is a lot of people who aren't tech savvy enough to play games on PC are trying to, you can't game on PC and not know wtf you're doing and you never could. newer the game, less room for error you have.

i mean, honestly, how many of you have ark/steam in program files? that's been a HUGE no-no for a decade now and people still do it, sometimes the default install location is even program files.

I play with a 2070 super at 60 fps locked with the built in frame gen and 22% sharpening and reshade for some other effects. On my older card I also use the low latency mode in the panel to get rid of the issues with latency like you are running at 20 fps. That works for me though but the sharpening filter in the nvidia control panel is a godsend otherwise this game would be terrible looking.
