Taming problem
When I start a tame (for example a Dodo) i put berry in the creature's inventory and the taming process start normally. when I log out and than return to the game the taming effectiveness is 0% and the taming don't go on. I'm in singleplayer. Did someone have the same problem?

Just had the same issue with a 135 triceratops. Left food in to tame just in case it was only a visual bug but it ended up eating all the food and waking up instead. I made some stone fence foundations and stone doorframes to trap it when it woke up but I'm not sure how I can prevent this issue in the future.

singleplayer doesn't work that way. if you aren't in-game when stuff is happening, nothing happens and logging out = stopping the server

turn up taming speed to 3x or 5x and/or increase food drain to 2 or 3x, you don't have to stay around it if you stay in game, but you can't exit and come back to anything different than what you left unless you're on a server

If you are on Single Player, be sure to press "Save Game" before you exit, as it wont always save everything.
You should also not get off while taming something, its not suited for Single Player, as it wont keep going when you get off.

Wanna play on a private PVE server? We're Vanilla settings except for taming and breeding

Its a current glitch in the game. For single player if you have a tame and quit the game. When you log back in Taming effectiveness will be 0 and even when it eats food, the taming meter wont go up. The only thing you can do is wait for it to wake up and tranq it back down. And dont log off while mid tame.

Let's hope they resolve it soon. I don't want to have to increase the taming speed

just don't log off while you're taming stuff. the algae sushi from an archelon can restore taming effectiveness if you're in the middle of taming something rare and HAVE to leave but that or taming stuff faster is all you can do.

do you have -preventhibernation on in the launch parameters?

Yes I have it. But I play without the single player settings and I can't stay hours in game to wait for tame a creature. and I don't want to change the taming speed ecc

just play on your own server, think you can get them for like $15/m now but there are going to be new problems but some stuff would be better and you could be by yourself with the game "always on' so stuff happened in the background, you could breed when out of range too since in SP they won't keep popping out eggs while your'e out of range even with -preventhibernation on

i'd just raise taming rates and use kibble, if i'm gonna do everything by myself instead of with a tribe then it's just balancing things out more than cheating. i have to gather 100% of my resources, do 100% of the crafting, taming, breeding, etc and that's why SP settings are kinda OP feeling but if you're part of a big tribe, you won't do 10% as much. hell officials server have some event with increased rates multiple times a month anyway, 3-5x isn't anything, i roll with 2x gathering, 3x taming and heavily increased maturation/egg laying timers because it's not hard to wait, it's just boring. just find what works for you, very few people play on default rates on SP and very few use SP settings because they set some stuff way too high
