Help split screen

Hello, I need help, I want to play Ark in local cooperative mode, the specifications say it is possible, however when I enter the game it recognizes the keyboard and the Xbox controller as the same, how do I make them different profiles? help please I can't play with my friend

Just to confirm, you're trying to use a single computer to play Ark in splitscreen Coop Mode, with one person using the mouse and keyboard and the other person using a Controller?!?

i checked it out ages ago and used nvidia surround to run ark on 2 screens
deffently have to half the resolution to run this on 2 screens
also the second account is always going to be called human as i never found a way to use keyboard and mouse for player 2
